Beccy Pedot, president and founder of MedCase Litigation Specialties (MCLS), is a registered nurse and certified paralegal. With 30 years of federal government experience, she was a Lieutenant in the Navy Nurse Corps, a risk management and quality assurance expert with the Veterans Administraton, and a nurse/paralegal specialist with the United States Attorney's Office, in Denver, Colorado where she assisted attorneys in the preparation of their defense of medical malpractice cases. After retiring from government service, Beccy founded MedCase Litigation Specialties. MCLS provides comprehensive services to assist attorneys in medical malpractice, personal injury and employment law defense, as well as records management and training.
While at the U.S. Attorney’s office and subsequently as owner of MedCase Litigation Specialties, Beccy has provided superior support to numerous legal teams – many times receiving special recognition for her work. She has earned a reputation for retaining excellent experts and providing superior support in every aspect of case preparation through trial. Her cases span simple proceedings through complex medical malpractice litigation. She is known for her organization and follow-through assisting legal teams to meet their deadlines.
Beccy earned a BS in Nursing at the University of Northern Colorado and certification as a Paralegal from the Denver Paralegal Institute. She is constantly improving her knowledge and skills through educational opportunities.
During Carol’s 10-year tenure with a Fortune 200 company she designed and implemented process improvement initiatives at the business unit and corporate levels, reducing costs by $20 million. She was instrumental in implementing Baldrige-based performance excellence assessments in addition to leading and developing the organizational design and identifying accountabilities for the Retail business unit through two mergers. As a line manager, Carol directed a profitable $30 million HVAC business which served 40,000 customers in two states.
With more than 20 years of corporate executive experience, Carol has served on many leadership teams. She has developed quality-training programs and change management initiatives and led corporate strategic and operational planning processes. In addition, Carol led a multi-state call center reorganization and implemented a direct marketing sales process to support small business customers.
As an entrepreneur, Carol has assisted many small business owners in optimizing their business for profitability through process improvement and organizational development. She has provided Business Analyst and Project Manager Leadership to several utility companies and served as Operations Director for a growing SEO company and MedCase Litigation Specialties.
Carol earned a BA in Business Administration and Psychology at Dakota Wesleyan University and has participated in executive leadership programs such as Influence of Denver and Leadership of Change.
